About Us

Svedent Dental Clinic was founded in 2004 by Dr. Svetoslav Velichkov and Dr. Denitsa Kafelova with the idea of offering patients high-quality, calm, and comprehensive dental treatment. Soon after founding the clinic, they attended dozens of postgraduate courses and lectures and gradually established Svedent as one of the leading dental clinics in Sofia.

In 2009, Dr. Bozhidar Kafelov and Dr. Mila Gorbunova joined the team. From that moment, the development of the clinic continued with each dentist gradually focusing on the field they love most. The constant continuing education completed by the dentists at Svedent built a stable team that offers the full range of modern dental treatment procedures.

In 2013, Dr. Roksana Todorova joined the team. Dr. Iliyan Stoyanov has been part of Svedent since 2017, Dr. Luiza Vlaykova since 2021, and Dr. Vasilena Vatafova since 2022. This helped the clinic continue to grow into a strong, multidisciplinary team, where endodontics, aesthetic dentistry, implantology, periodontology, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and prevention come together in one comprehensive approach.

An essential part of the clinic and our smooth day-to-day work are our colleagues from the administrative department – Magdalena Bozhanova-Gicheva and Vasilena Zareva. They know the schedules of all dental doctors and assistants in the clinic, communicate with patients and colleagues, and understand their problems and expectations. Vasilena and Magi can give you the most accurate information about upcoming procedures, manage all documentation and coordinate the clinic's work at every level. Besides being wonderful specialists who can run the daily life of the clinic in five languages – Bulgarian, Russian, English, Italian and German – Magi and Vasilena are remarkable people: cosmopolitan, colorful, empathetic and a pleasure to communicate with.
